2025 LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTION: IFEDORE DRUMS SUPPORT FOR AJIBOLA AND HIS VICE.
The All progressives Congress in Ifedore local government area of Ondo State has expressed confidence in repeating the victory it recorded in the last November 16, 2024 governorship election in Saturday’s Local Government election.
The Chairmanship election campaign committee chairman in the area, Hon. Pius Idowu Adebusuyi gave the assurance while presenting Hon. Dipo Ajibola as the chairmanship candidate for the party and Hon. Abidat Ijimakinwa as Vice chairman and ten councilors across ten wards in the area come 18th January 2025 local government election.
Hon. Adebusuyi while addressing members during the campaign round the three zones in Ifedore local government area, (Ijare zone, Ilara zone and Igbara Oke zone) said APC has met all the conditions reeled out by Ondo State Independent Electoral Commission (ODIEC) and all Ifedore candidates are sellable.
Hon. Adebusuyi who is currently the Commissioner 1 in the Ondo State house of assembly service commission, said with the level of performance of Governor ,hon. Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa-led administration, the people of Ifedore would vote for APC candidates from chairmanship to councilors level on Saturday, January 18, 2025 during the local council poll.
The commissioner who was also former member of the Ondo state house of assembly and the former chairman of Ifedore local government, said it’s no longer fashionable to appoint caretaker committee for local government, that’s why it’s imperative for the state electoral commission to conduct the local government election in all the 18 local government areas of the state.
Hon. Adebusuyi said that the Ifedore are fully prepared and started the Campaign from wards to Unit level and meet with all stakeholders across all the 10 wards in the the local government.
Meanwhile, the secretary to the campaign committee in Ifedore, Hon. Barr. Collins Awoseye said the campaign committee have constituted at the local government, Ward and unit levels to begin sensitisation and mobile people ahead of Saturday poll.
Awoseye who is also the transition committee secretary to Ifedore central assured that APC are going to repeat the massive victory recorded during the governorship election in which the party won in all the 18 local government areas.
Awoseye in his words: according to the Ondo state independent Electoral commission,ODIEC, Thirteen political parties will participate in Saturday’s Local Government election.
Meanwhile the APC Chairmanship candidate in the area Hon. Dipo Ajibola in his speech called on all the communities in Ifedore Local government, to rally round him and his vice as APC candidates come January 18, 2025,local government election.
Hon Ajibola in his words stressed his believe in the importance of collective action in the electoral process, and urged Ifedore people to actively participate in the elections to secure a brighter future for its communities in the Local Government.
According to him my election to the position of an executive chairman will underscores a strategic effort to unify the communities in the area if elected.
Ajibola said, he believes that with the support of the people of Ifedore Local government his administration will usher in a meaningful progress and development to the local government if elected.
The party vice chairman, Hon Abidat Ijimakinwa in her response said that her message serves as a vital reminder of the power of communities involvement in shaping local governance and advancing the aspirations of the people towards the forthcoming Local Government election in the State.
