MINISTRY HOLDS VALEDICTORY SESSION FOR EX-INFORMATION COMMISSIONER AKINLOSOTU
Top Management and Staff of the Ondo State Ministry of Information and Orientation have celebrated the former Commissioner, Otunba Wale Akinlosotu, describing him as a dedicated and visionary public servant.
The celebration followed the dissolution of the State Executive Council on 15th January 2025 by Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.
The Valedictory Session, led by the Administrative Secretary of the Ministry, Mr Lanre Akarakiri, celebrated Otunba Akinlosotu’s remarkable achievements and invaluable contributions to the Ministry and the state.
Mr. Akarakiri praised Otunba Akinlosotu’s commitment to excellence, saying, “your leadership and expertise have been the cornerstone of our Ministry’s success. Your legacy will continue to inspire and motivate us, leaving an indelible mark on our work.”
According to a statement made public by the Media Manager in the ministry, management and staff poured encomiums on Otunba Akinlosotu, described him as a man of inestimable value whose gentleness is top notch. “Your guidance and unwavering support have been beacons of hope. Your departure leaves a void, but we are confident that your legacy will continue to shape our work,” they said.
In his response, Otunba Akinlosotu thanked God for His mercies and grace to serve. He also expressed gratitude for the kind words and sentiments. “I am honoured to have served this great state and contributed to the development of our Sunshine state. I am proud of what we have achieved together, and I am confident that the Ministry will continue to thrive and excel in the years to come”, he said.
Otunba Wale Akinlosotu also thanked the state governor, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for his leadership, mentorship, and the opportunity to serve in his cabinet.
Akinlosotu, who lauded the governor for his purposeful leadership and vision, which have been moving the state forward, took pride in being part of the governor’s result-oriented cabinet since last year.

The immediate past Commissioner for Information and Orientation in Ondo State, Otunba Wale Akinlosotu, has thanked the state governor, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for the opportunity to serve in his cabinet.
Aiyedatiwa dissolved the State Executive Council on Wednesday, January 15th, 2025, ahead of his inauguration next month for a fresh term in office.
Akinlosotu, who, in a statement in Akure, lauded the governor for his purposeful leadership and vision, which has been moving the state forward, took pride in being part of the governor’s result-oriented cabinet since last year.
The former commissioner said, “I sincerely thank Governor Aiyedatiwa for considering me worthy to serve the people of Ondo State in the capacity. I’m eternally grateful for the trust and confidence in my abilities.
“I thank him for providing quality leadership and for unparalleled commitment to positive growth, which has brought unprecedented development in the state. I commend Governor Aiyedatiwa for the milk of human kindness, which was the reason for historical sights on the people’s welfare.
“I wish the governor the very best as he continues to steer the ship of the state.
“We will continue to provide necessary contributions, support and assistance as the governor continues to deliver the dividends of democracy to the good people of Ondo State especially with the lofty action plans of development for the state in the New Year,” Akinlosotu said.

Aiyedatiwa, on Wednesday, January 15th, 2025, dissolved the State Executive Council, ahead of next month’s inauguration of the governor for a fresh four-year tenure.
Akinlosotu, in a statement in Akure hailed the journalists under the aegis of Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ondo State Chapter chaired by Prince Leke Adegbite for their cooperation with him while in office as Information Commissioner in disseminating information about the state and showcasing the developmental strides of the Aiyedatiwa administration to the world.
The former commissioner said, “I sincerely appreciate journalists in Ondo State for their accurate and positive ways in which they portrayed the state under Governor Aiyedatiwa which played great roles in the success of the policies and programmes of the administration.
“I thank you for your support and cooperation and for your contributions to the development of Ondo State. You are really living to your billing as partners in development through your constructive and objective developmental reports, analyses, and advice.
“I especially appreciate the NUJ State Chairman, Prince Leke Adegbite, members of the NUJ State Executive Committee, and the different chapels for your cooperation and the special interest in what concerns the state government.
“I do not take your support and cooperation for granted. I’m eternally grateful, and I look forward to your continued support for the Aiyedatiwa administration,” Akinlosotu said.
