The All Progressives Congress (APC) has swept all chairmanship positions in the 18 local government areas declared in Ondo State’s local government elections.
The party also triumphed in 180 out of 203 councillorship seats so far declared across the state.
The Ondo State Independent Electoral Commission (ODIEC), led by Dr. Joseph Aremo, confirmed the results on Sunday, commending the electoral officers for a smooth and credible process.
Meanwhile, the election in Ondo West Local Government was rescheduled following the omission of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) logo on the ballot paper, but later won by the APC candidate.
