Ondo LG Poll: Oil Magnate, Benjamin Olomidegun congratulates Maurice Oripenaye on election as Ilaje Chairman

An Ilaje-born oil and gas magnate, High Chief Benjamin Olomidegun, has congratulated Hon. Maurice Oripenaye, the Chairman-elect of Ilaje Local Government on his emergence in the just concluded council election.

High Chief Olomidegun, commended Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for his outstanding leadership, which he says ensured a free, fair, and peaceful local government election in Ondo State.

In a press statement issued shortly after the Ondo State Independent Electoral Commission (ODIEC) announced the election results, Chief Olomidegun described the victory as a product of hard work, meticulous planning, and purposeful leadership.

The oil and gas entrepreneur lauded the All Progressives Congress (APC) chairman and party members in Ilaje local government area for their massive turnout during the election, referring to them as the true champions of grassroots politics.

In his heartfelt congratulatory message, High Chief Olomidegun urged Hon. Maurice Oripenaye, the Chairman-elect of Ilaje Local Government, to honor the trust reposed in them by the governor and the people.

He also called on the new chairmen to align themselves with Governor Aiyedatiwa’s developmental programs aimed at transforming their respective regions.

Furthermore, High Chief Olomidegun appealed to the people of Ilaje Local Government Areas to support their newly elected leaders in achieving holistic development, particularly in critical sectors such as healthcare, education, road infrastructure, and agriculture.
