ONDO NORTH YOUTH ALLIANCE
IPINSAGBA AND HIS MINIONS, OUR JILTERY SENATOR SHOULD BE ACCOUNTABLE RATHER THAN SPONSORED POST
The recent attempt by Senator Jide Ipinsagba’s minions to distort facts and mislead the public has once again exposed the senator’s desperation to cling to power. The latest episode involves one Hakeem Ayodele, a former aide to the senator, who has been recruited to defend the senator’s abysmal record on youth development.
BACKGROUND
As the apex youth body organization in Ondo North, we have consistently demanded accountability and transparency from our leaders. Senator Ipinsagba’s administration has been marked by a lack of inclusivity, accountability, and misrepresentation of the interests of Ondo North. Despite his promises, the senator has failed to address the pressing issues of poverty, unemployment, and educational backwardness in our region despite all the promises.
THE FACTS OF THE ENTRY FEE OF #2000 TO ACCESS SENATOR JIDE IPINSAGBA AT MANUEX PALACE AKURE
On December 24, 2024, at Manuex Palace Akure, at the instance of Senator Jide Ipinsagba on persistent demand of the youths from his senatorial district, paid a minimum sum of #2000 to gain access.
This incident is a clear indication of the senator’s disconnect from the realities of his constituents. Despite complaining to the senator about this action, the senator failed to address the issue. We challenge Hakeem Ayodele and the senator’s media team to deny this fact. The evidence and receipts are available.
We commend the Minister of Youth Development, Hon. Ayo Wisdom Olawande, for his efforts in promoting youth inclusivity and empowerment. The minister’s commitment to the welfare of Nigerian youths is evident in his actions, and we applaud his dedication to the cause.
We are aware that as a result of the failure and inability of Hakeem to actualize his dream with the senator, the Minister made the positive transformation of engaging him. Other than maintaining civility he has thrown caution to the wind.
Conclusion
We will not be deterred by the senator’s attempts to distort facts and mislead the public. We demand that Senator Ipinsagba change his ways and prioritize the needs of the youths in his district. We will continue to hold our leaders accountable and demand transparency and accountability.
We however know that the economic value of this resentment of vast majority of youths will only serve a little stipend for those charged by the senator to distort fact. We congratulate them for sharing from their collective patrimony based on the overall youth agitation.
The Youths Will Not Be Silenced
We will not be passive and allow our futures to be ruined by political leaders who do not have our best interests at heart. We demand change, and we demand it now.
