UNIMEDTH CMD Gbala engages Pharmacy Dept Staff on Medications Development plan

CMD ENGAGES THE PHARMACY DEPARTMENT TO DEVELOP A PLAN TO PROVIDE MEDICATIONS TO IN-PATIENTS AT A CHEAPER AND MORE AFFORDABLE RATE COMPARED TO VENDORS FROM OUTSIDE.

As part of his commitment to staff capacity-building and effective service delivery, the CMD Dr. Michael Gbala deliberated on a brief yet impactful meeting with the Pharmacy Department. His discussion focused on the critical link between pharmacological research and clinical practice, urging the department to take the lead in identifying innovative solutions to drug-related challenges in healthcare.

The CMD commended the Pharmacy team for their dedication to patient care and encouraged them to continue pursuing excellence through research, teamwork, and professional development. He further assured them of management’s unwavering support in equipping the department with modern tools and resources for optimal service delivery.

The Chief Medical Director (CMD) urged the Pharmacy Department to develop a plan to provide medications to in-patients at a cheaper and more affordable rate compared to vendors from outside. Dr. Gbala emphasized the importance of making healthcare services, including medications, accessible and affordable to all patients.

He encouraged the Pharmacy Department to explore innovative solutions to reduce medication costs without compromising quality.
