Chief Samuel Ayodele Adebanjo, a veteran nationalist,elder statesman and Strong Afenifere Chieftain has passed away at the age of 96.
He died peacefully on the morning of Friday, February 14, 2025, at his home in Lekki, Lagos State.
A respected lawyer and former organizing secretary of the Action Group, Adebanjo also served as the Acting leader of Afenifere, a Yoruba socio-cultural group.
He is survived by his 94-year-old wife, Chief Christy Ayo-Adebanjo, as well as his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
