
HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES ANNOUNCES NEW COMMITTEE LEADERSHIP: HON. IFEOLUWA EHINDERO APPOINTED CHAIRMAN, HOUSE COMMITTEE ON STUDENTS LOAN, SCHOLARSHIP, HIGHER EDUCATION FINANCING. NIGERIAN EDUCATION LOAN FUND (NELFUND)
The House of Representatives has officially announced adjustments to the leadership of its standing committees, appointing new Chairpersons and Deputy Chairpersons to further enhance legislative efficiency. Among these appointments, Hon. Ifeoluwa Ehindero, the Member representing Akoko Northeast/Northwest Federal Constituency, has been named Chairman, House Committee on Students Loans, Scholarships, Higher Education Financing. Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND).
Reacting to this development, Hon. Ehindero expressed his gratitude to the leadership of the House for the confidence reposed in him.
“I deeply appreciate the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, PhD, and the entire leadership of the House for this appointment. It is a privilege to serve in this capacity, and I am fully committed to ensuring that the Nigerian Education Loan Fund fulfills its purpose of making higher education more accessible and affordable for Nigerian students.”
Speaking further on his plans for the committee, Hon. Ehindero stated: “Education remains a critical driver of national development. As Chairman of this committee, I will work diligently with my colleagues, relevant stakeholders, and agencies to ensure that the Education Loan Fund operates efficiently, transparently, and in a way that truly benefits students across the country. We will also engage in necessary legislative oversight to strengthen the framework and implementation of the scheme.”
