Ondo Assembly clears Ajulo, Omowumi as Commissioners for Justice, Finance

ODHA CONFIRMS KAYODE AJULO AND OMOWUMI ISAAC AS COMMISSIONERS DESIGNATE

Following the screening exercise by the House Committee on the whole, Ondo State Assembly has confirmed the appointment of Dr. Kayode Ajulo and Mrs.Omowumi Isaac as Commissioners designate in the State.

The two nominees were today confirmed at a plenary presided over by the Speaker of the House, Rt.Hon.(Chief) Olamide Oladiji at the House of Assembly Complex in Akure.

The Clerk of the House,Barrister Benjamin Jaiyeola had read the letter sent to the House by the Governor of Ondo State,Honourable Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for the consideration of the nominees.

Submitting the report of the Committee, the Deputy Speaker of the House,Prince Abayomi Akinruntan recommended the Confirmation of the appointment of the nominees.

According to him, the nominees are physically, mentally ,emotionally stable and fit to accomplish the tasks of the positions as State Commissioners.

The House Majority leader,Hon.Oluwole Ogunmolasuyi,moved the motion for the report to be considered and the nominees be confirmed, just as it was seconded by Dr. Chris Ogunlana, lawmaker representing Irele Constituency.

Describing the two nominees as round pegs in round holes, the House Majority Leader appreciated the Governor of Ondo State for his decision to nominate the duo.

The Speaker, who ruled for the Confirmation of the nominees after a voice votes by lawmakers, explained that the Commissioners desiignate had served the State meritoriously and distinguished themselves in their professional Fields.

While Congratulating Governor Aiyedatiwa and his Deputy on the successful inauguration, he expressed optimism that Ondo State would record more transformation and development in the next four years.

Oladiji, later charged the Commissioners- designate to uphold all they had discussed with the Honorable members at the screening and to discharge their duties in the best interest of the people of Ondo State.

Responding on behalf of the Commissioners desiignate, Dr. Kayode Ajulo assured that they would continue to be committed and dedicated to work at all times, promising that they would not disappoint the people of the State.

The House also unanimously approved the request of Mr. Governor to appoint Ten special Advisers.
