APC Stakeholders push for relocation of Ondo Poly from Owo to Idanre, congratulate Aiyedatiwa

Stakeholders of all the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Idanre Local Government have appealed to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State to relocate the state polytechnic to Idanre, following the upgrading of the state owned polytechnic in Owo to a university.

The stakeholders also appealed to Governor Aiyedatiwa to prioritize the dualization of Akure-Idanre road, and to.also extend tthe ownship roads in Idanre, They emphasized that the projects, if executed would play critical roles in enhancing connectivity and economic growth of Idanre.

These appeals were made to Governor Aiyedatiwa during the Idanre APC stakeholders meeting held on Saturday, March 1, 2025 in the rocky town. The body also congratulated Governor Aiyedatiwa on his recent inauguration for a new term of four years. They also wished the governor a successful tenure and impactful governance.

At the stakeholders meeting, a resounding vote of confidence was passed in the leadership of Hon. Tajudeen Adefisoye, and he was overwhelmingly endorsed to continue as the leader of the “Odatiwa Odirorun” platform in Idanre Local Government Area.

Also, the Idanre APC stakeholders appreciated Adefisoye and all members of the Idanre Campaign Council for the victory of Governor Aiyedatiwa in the local government during the November 2024 gubernatorial election. However, the stakeholders appealed to Governor Aiyedatiwa to consider Idanre for strategic appointments in his administration. The stakeholders posited that previous administrations in Ondo State did not deemed it necessary to consider the rocky town for key appointments.

Meanwhile, the stakeholders also felicitated the recently sworn-in executive chairman and councillors of Idanre Local Government Area. The body also expressed confidence in the abilities of the chairman and his councillor to deliver good governance at the grassroots level.

More so, the stakeholders also expressed their profound gratitude to Chief Pius Akinyelure for his unwavering support toward the development of Idanre. They particularly thanked Akinyelure for the ongoing road project in Idanre, which had significantly improved infrastructure of the town.

In addition, the body also resolved to
set up an Advisory Council that would be tasked with the development of a framework for the conduct of the forthcoming party congress. The stakeholders underscored the need for a seamless and transparent process as basis for the need to set up the Advisory Council.

Similarly, the Idanre APC stakeholders also reaffirmed their commitment to the progress of the party, and pledged their support for leadership of the party at all levels.
