Ondo Gov’s Aide, Olawoye visits OAUSTECH, vows to Complete campus roads, Hostel Projects

The Special Adviser to the Ondo State Governor on Infrastructure, Lands, and Housing, Engr. Abiola Olawoye FNSE, visited Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH), Okitipupa, to inspect ongoing state-sponsored projects.

During the visit, he reassured the university’s principal officers of the government’s commitment to expediting the execution and completion of critical infrastructure projects. Engr. Olawoye emphasized that the projects align with Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa’s broader development agenda, stressing that all necessary resources were being mobilized to ensure timely delivery.

The Vice-Chancellor of OAUSTECH, Prof. Temu Emmanuel Ologunorisa, led Engr. Olawoye and a delegation from the Ministry of Works to various project sites within the university.

He appealed for the completion of key infrastructure, including major access roads and the long-overdue male and female hostel projects.

Highlighting the importance of these projects, Prof. Ologunorisa noted that their completion would significantly enhance students’ welfare and the overall academic environment.

In response, Engr. Olawoye assured the university management that the hostel projects, which commenced in 2009, would be revisited with a focus on structural assessment and compliance with modern engineering standards.

He stated that integrity tests would be conducted on the structures in line with structural principles before contractors resume work on-site.

Accompanying Engr. Olawoye on the inspection were senior directors from the Ministry of Works, led by the Administrative Secretary, Engr. Akin Omotola, reaffirming the government’s dedication to delivering quality infrastructure for the institution.
