As part of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s commitment to Promoting gender equality and women’s empowerment, Ondo State will be joining the global community to celebrate the International Women’s Day (IWD) on Saturday, March 8th, 2025.
This Year’s theme “Accelerate Action” focuses on the importance of taking swift and decisive steps to achieve gender equality.It calls for increased momentum and urgency in addressing the systematic barriers and biases that women face.
It is refreshing to be part of a Government that is significantly committed to forging women’s economic empowerment through involvement of women and girls in sustainable Agriculture, skills acquisition trainings and provision of access to resources for their well being.
*This year’s IWD is significant as Ondo State Governor, Dr Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa will be *unveiling the O’datiwa Women Initiative Cash grant to 1000 women in the state.* This is to acknowledge and appreciate the invaluable contributions of women to the development of Ondo state.
