Seasonal Reflections from the Chairman, NLC Ondo State Council
On behalf of the State Executive Council of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Ondo State Council, I extend heartfelt Easter greetings to all Christian workers and their families across the Sunshine State.
As we aware that Easter is a profound season of hope, sacrifice, and renewal, that reminds us of the power of love, the strength of perseverance, and the victory of life over despair.
Therefore, as we celebrate this sacred period, I urge all Christian faithful to reflect deeply on its core values and to embody them in their daily lives, promoting peace, showing compassion, and standing firm in faith and service to humanity.
In the same spirit, I want to appeal to all workers to remain calm in the face of the ongoing concerns surrounding the proposed demolition of staff quarters. We want to assure you that the organized labour leadership is actively engaging all relevant authorities with unwavering dedication and responsible dialogue to safeguard the interests of all affected workers.
We continue to believe that His Excellency, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, the Governor of Ondo State, as a leader with a proven workers-friendly disposition, will not allow any action that could push our members into displacement or hardship. We remain optimistic that this issue will be addressed with fairness and empathy.
We also use this opportunity to call on all workers to keep faith living and unshakable in the leadership of the union. We remain passionately committed and tirelessly devoted to the protection of workers welfare and rights.
May this Easter bring you and your loved ones; including His Excellency, the Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, and his family as well as his cabinet, renewed strength and lasting joy.
