The Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Polytechnics (SSANIP) Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo (RUGIPO) chapter has written a letter of Appreciation to Mrs Omowunmi lsaac,
the Ondo state Commissioner of Finance, to express profound gratitude to her over timely intervention on several issues confronting the polytechnic by setting up a committee to nip in the bud the incessant neglect on staff welfare.
In a letter jointly signed by Comrade Saka-Olokungboye Nurudeen, the Union’s Chairman and Comrade Olanitori Olayemi, the Secretary, SSANIP said the effort by the Commissioner should lead to settling of outstanding salary arrears at the institution.

The Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Polytechnics (SSANIP) Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo chapter writes on behalf of the elders, Excos and the entire members of our great Union to express our profound gratitude to you for your timely intervention on several issues confronting the Polytechnic by setting up a committee to nip in the bud the incessant neglect on staff welfare most especially in looking critically to the causes of outstanding salary arrears.
SSANIP wishes to salute your courage, doggedness and determination to ensure that a financial discipline is maintained in the Polytechnic and to reposition the institution so that its financial obligations to its workforce do not lead to industrial dispute.
As a union, we are indeed grateful that your kind intervention is coming at the nick of time to pave way for financial prudence that will attract the attention of the state government to enable it clear all outstanding liabilities owed members of staff and pensioners of this noble institution.
We, therefore enjoin you as our mother to accelerate every step that will either be taken by the state government or the committee set up to look into the finances of the Polytechnic so as to soften the pains of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Owo workers.
Finally, SSANIP wishes to salute your financial acumen and dexterity that has led to the repayment of loans taken by previous administrations which had been a burden crippling the infrastructural development of our dear state.
Your doggedness and tenacity have clearly shown that financial discipline is a virtue and that the old way of doings things cannot continue in our State
As a union and a stake holder , we shall give every support to your genuine desire to negate misappropriation of funds and to put our dear Sunshine state on the path of financial prosperity.
SSANIP prays to almighty God to give you good health with a sound mind and body to enable you continue with your good services to the State.
