ON CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATION AT DIJA HOUSE OF LOVE
Theme: Voices of the Future
Date: 27th May, 2025
The Children’s Day celebration at Dija House of Love was a delightful and memorable event, held to celebrate over 500 children under the inspiring theme “Voices of the Future”.
A replica of the maiden edition, there was a massive turnout of children largely located in remote neighborhoods as they came out in their numbers to be part of the event.
Preparations began early with the arrival of team members who set up the venue and arranged a wide variety of gifts. These included clothes, drinks, biscuits, customised towels, school bags, books, school supplies, and scholarship awards for selected pupils.

The event was well-coordinated with the engagement of security personnel who ensured that peace and order were maintained all through. The programme commenced with an opening prayer and the national anthem, followed by a warm and inspiring welcome address from the founder, Lasisi Adijat (Eruniyo).
The children received customised shirts as souvenirs, marking the official start of the day’s activities.
Educational games such as Spelling Bee and Quiz Competitions were organised to engage the children and encourage academic excellence.
A major highlight of the day was the visit from the Indomie Company, who generously provided hot meals for all the children in attendance. Lively entertainment followed, including dance competitions that brought joy and excitement to the young participants.
Winners of the educational and fun competitions were awarded scholarships, generously sponsored by Chief Dr Oluwafemi Akinkugbe, who was ably represented by Hon Akinfotire Temitope, the official presenter of the awards.

The children were later entertained with biscuits, drinks, and other gift items, rounding off a beautiful celebration.
In summary, the Children’s Day event at Dija House of Love was filled with love, learning, and laughter — a true celebration of the bright voices and promising futures of our children.
