
As children in Ondo State joined their counterparts across the country to mark this year’s Children’s Day, a philanthropist, Chief (Dr.) Olufemi Akinkugbe has gifted no fewer than twenty exceptional students drawn from both Ondo East and Ondo West Local Government Areas of the state, an award of a cheque of N25,000 each in recognition of their brilliance and potential.
The donor, Chief (Dr.) Olufemi Akinkugbe, the Akogun Egbe Tobalase Okunrin Isokan Ijebu Ode, in collaboration with the DIJA House of Love representative, Hon. Temitope Akinfotire said; “this benevolent act was not merely a gift of financial support, but a resounding affirmation of the transformative power of education and a heartfelt investment in the leaders of tomorrow.”
While extending his hand of kindness to the future torchbearers of the kingdom, Akinkugbe said the thoughtful initiative has brought joy to the faces of students and their families.
In a statement, Akinkugbe extends his warmest wishes and heartfelt congratulations to every child in his beloved kingdom.
He said; “You Children are the future of our great constituency, and it is our collective responsibility to nurture, protect, and empower you all to become responsible leaders, innovators, and citizens.
“Today reminds us of the precious gift that you are to us and the great potential you hold. Every child deserves a safe environment, access to quality education, and the opportunity to dream big.
“I encourage you to continue to be diligent in your studies, respectful to your parents and elders, and kind to one another.
“Let this day inspire you to believe in yourselves and the limitless possibilities that lie ahead.
“This is a clarion call to all stakeholders to join hands in nurturing the dreams of our children through deliberate and meaningful investment.”
