ARAROMI BEACH CARNIVAL: SETTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT
The attention of the organisers of the just concluded Araromi Beach Carnival has been drawn to a series of misleading publications by deeonemedianews.blogspot.com, This Nigeria E-paper, and Africaarisenews.com, falsely claiming that the recently concluded Araromi Beach Carnival was hosted by Dr. Taiwo Malumi. This assertion is not only inaccurate but also undermines the hard work, planning, and official collaboration that brought the successful event to life.
Setting the records straight; Dr. Taiwo Ebunola Malumi, did not host the event.
For the avoidance of doubt, the Araromi Beach Carnival, held on Saturday, May 24, 2025, was organized and hosted by Ondo State Government, in collaboration with the Ondo State ministry of Culture and Tourism, Ondo State Development and Investment Promotion Agency (ONDIPA), and ADELLAMODELS/EVENTS under the leadership of Princess Erelu Mopelola Tomoloju, who also serves as a consultant to ONDIPA.
The event attracted global investors and was a pivotal milestone in His Excellency, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa’s agenda to revive tourism and economic potential in the riverine areas of Ondo State. The official report of the carnival clearly captured the rightful organizers, the state’s partnership, and the central role of the governor’s vision in making the project a reality.
While we acknowledge and appreciate the support of individuals, stakeholders, and organizations—Dr. Taiwo Malumi inclusive—who were present or expressed alignment with the vision of beach tourism in Ondo State, it must be categorically stated that Dr. Malumi was not the host or organizer of the Araromi Beach Carnival. Any publication to the contrary is false, misleading, and clearly aimed at distorting the facts for ulterior motives.
We hereby issue a 24-hour ultimatum to the above-listed media outlets to immediately retract the erroneous reports and issue a public correction, failing which legal actions will be initiated against them and any individual(s) found to have sponsored or circulated the false narrative. We urge the public and the media to rely only on verified and official information and refrain from disseminating unsubstantiated claims.
