Rt. Hon. Ayo Samuel Arowele, a former member of the Ondo State House of Assembly from Owo Constituency One, has officially dumped the main opposition party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Hon Ayo Arowele officially cross-carpeted to the APC today Saturday in home town in Owo.
Hon Arowele who is also a former Chief Whip and Deputy Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, equally contested on the platform of the People Democratic party, PDP as the House of Representatives Candidate for Owo/Ose federal constituency during the last 2023 general election.
While speaking at the ceremony organized to officially welcome him to the ruling party, the former Legislator said his decision was based on the internal crisis rocking the PDP at the national level.
He also hinged his decision on various reforms which are being carried out by the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, adding that the reforms are capable of addressing the various problems confronting the country.
Rt. Hon Arowele also identified with the giant strides being taken by the Ondo State Governor Dr Lucky Aiyedatiwa to develop Ondo State.
Hon Ayo Arowele who was at the Ceremony alongside his supporters, assured his new host that he will contribute his quota towards the development of APC in Ondo State.
