Ondo Reps member Makinde extols Aiyedatiwa’s 100-day accomplishments, pledges progressive partnership

HON. DR. ABIOLA MAKINDE EXTOLS AIYEDATIWA’S 100-DAY FEAT, DECLARES UNWAVERING COMMITMENT TO PROGRESSIVE PARTNERSHIP

In the symphony of governance, where vision meets execution, the first 100 days of His Excellency, Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, have played a compelling overture of hope and action in Ondo State.

With the cadence of purpose and the rhythm of results, his administration has ushered in a refreshing momentum — and among the many voices rising in admiration is that of Hon. Dr. Abiola Makinde, a distinguished federal lawmaker and ardent advocate of responsive leadership.

Dr. Makinde, in a statement laced with commendation and conviction, praised Governor Aiyedatiwa’s focused leadership, particularly applauding the administration’s infrastructural interventions as a beacon of pragmatism.

He described the governor’s first 100 days as “a sterling display of visionary governance,” noting that the pace and precision with which critical road projects were identified and executed reveals the heart of a man driven by the people’s pulse.

“In just one hundred days, Governor Aiyedatiwa has not only stepped into history but has begun to write it boldly in the language of service, inclusiveness, and strategic development,” Makinde stated. “The arteries of our state are being repaired and expanded, and with every kilometre of road rehabilitated, new life is breathed into the economy and the soul of our people.”

From the rugged terrains of Idanre to the urban bustle of Akure, the governor’s asphalt narrative is transforming journeys once marked by pain into paths paved with progress. Over 50 township roads, long condemned to neglect, are now receiving attention through the OUR EASE initiative — a symbolic handshake between government and the governed, signaling that development has truly come home.

Dr. Makinde further hailed the rural access interventions, particularly the 10.9km Idanre–Obajare Road and the 11.9km Molege–Agunbiade stretch in Owo East.

He likened these projects to veins reconnecting the lifeblood of the state’s agricultural economy, describing them as “routes of renewal” for farmers and traders whose livelihoods hinge on access.

With poetic resonance, the federal lawmaker noted that the urban skyline too is being reimagined under Aiyedatiwa’s watch — citing the accelerating work on the Akure–Oda and Oluwatuyi–Ijoka dual carriageways, and the groundbreaking construction of a flyover at the Shagari/Irese junction. “This is not just civil engineering,” he said, “it is civic awakening — a masterclass in urban rebirth.”

Dr. Makinde, who has long aligned his legislative efforts with the broader aspirations of Ondo State, declared his continued support for Governor Aiyedatiwa.

He pledged to deepen collaboration between federal representation and state leadership, emphasizing that “when purpose aligns with passion, the people are the beneficiaries.”

He concluded with a clarion call to the APC family and the people of Ondo State: “Let us not merely applaud this beginning — let us protect and promote it. In Governor Aiyedatiwa, we see not just a man in power, but a steward of our shared destiny. The winds of transformation have begun to blow, and we must hoist our sails together.”
