JUNE 12: LEGACIES OF DEMOCRACY AS PRESIDENT TINUBU’S RENEWED HOPE AGENDA IS SETTING NIGERIA ON A NEW COURSE
Today, on Democracy Day 2025, we at the Progressives Network for Tinubu (PNT) salute the unwavering leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR whose bold reforms have redefined Nigeria’s democratic experience and restored faith in purposeful governance.
Since May 29, 2023, President Tinubu has enacted sweeping economic and institutional reforms that have reset the foundations of our republic. The removal of the fuel subsidy and the floating of the naira—though difficult—have proven to be stabilizing pillars. These policy decisions are now helping to bolster national revenue, reduce fiscal deficits, and spark renewed investors’ confidence in the Nigerian economy.
The bold vision of President Tinubu has stabilised the economy and laid the groundwork for durable infrastructure while deepening democratic governance.
President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda has also translated into visible, life-changing development. From commissioning the Lekki Deep Sea Port Access Road, to accelerating legacy projects like the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, the Sokoto-Badagry Superhighway, and other key bridges and trade corridors across Nigeria. His administration is building not just roads, but bridges to prosperity.
These are not ceremonial projects. They are strategic enablers of commerce, agriculture, industrialization, and integration—core principles of any working democracy.
Today, as we reflect on our democratic journey, the Progressives Network for Tinubu urges all Nigerians to continue believing in—and working toward—the Renewed Hope Agenda. The past year has shown that transformation is possible. That progress requires sacrifice. And that true democracy thrives not on routine, but on reforms.
We also call on every Nigerian to pray for President Tinubu and his team that they may continue to serve with wisdom, courage, and patriotism—for the good of all citizens, home and abroad.
This June 12, let us not only celebrate our past victories, but also recommit ourselves to the work of nation-building. Let us remember that democracy is not only in the votes, but in the values we uphold, the sacrifices we embrace, and the vision we pursue together.
