OSYN Appreciates Governor Lucky Ayiedatiwa for Youth-Inclusive Nominations; Sends congratulatory message
Date: June 13, 2025
The Ondo State Youth Network (OSYN) warmly appreciates and commends the Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Ayiedatiwa, for the nomination of two of our very own — Mr. Omoyofunmi Segun Henry and Dr. Tob Loko — as Commissioner-nominees in the State Executive Council.
This significant development is not only a personal victory for the nominees but a clear demonstration that the present administration is genuinely responsive to youth advocacy and inclusive governance.
These young, vibrant, and deeply committed individuals have long demonstrated passion, vision, and capacity in leadership and service. OSYN is confident that if confirmed, they will bring innovation, discipline, and youthful energy into governance, representing the voice of a generation ready to lead.
Their nomination is an indication that the government recognizes potential and is willing to reward dedication and competence, especially from organized youth structures.
This gesture is particularly heartwarming for us as an organization because it aligns with one of our long-standing demands — that young people be appointed not just as aides, but as cabinet members with real authority and responsibility.
We have been consistent in advocating that youth voices be represented where decisions are made, and this move by the Governor is an encouraging step in the right direction. It shows that our voices have not only been heard but respected.
We also use this opportunity to congratulate Mr. Omoyofunmi Segun Henry and Dr. Tob Loko on their nominations. This is a call to greater service and a heavy responsibility to represent not just OSYN but the aspirations of all young people in Ondo State. We trust that they will serve with distinction, integrity, and a clear commitment to excellence and youth development.
Once again, we express our profound gratitude to Governor Lucky Ayiedatiwa for this show of faith in youth capacity. We hope this is just the beginning of deeper collaboration between the government and the organized youth sector in building a more inclusive, dynamic, and forward-moving Ondo State.
