2025 London Tech Week: Gov. Aiyedatiwa targets Advanced Digital Future for Ondo State, as Governor’s Aide, Hon. Tomide Akinribido engages IT investors

Ondo State Government, under the forward-thinking leadership of Governor Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa, is taking bold steps to position the state as a hub for innovation, digital growth, and smart governance. As part of this commitment, the administration will unveil a comprehensive Technology and Digital Transformation Roadmap. At the forefront of this transformative effort is Mr Governor, His Excellency Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

Last week, i made a loud appearance for Ondo State at the London Tech Week 2025 in Olympia London from June 9-11. The London Tech Week is one of the world’s leading global technology summit.

While at the event, I engaged with global partners on emerging technologies, initiating collaborative initiatives, and connecting with global technology leaders, to explore best practices and scalable solutions that can drive Ondo State’s digital transformation agenda.

During my 3 days attendance at the London Tech Week, i engaged officials of several global organizations including but not limited to; Google Cloud, Capital City College, Amazon Web Services, DELL Technologies, UPTITUDE Tech Catalyst, DOHA Venture Capital(DVC) among others.

“We are here not just to observe, but to collaborate and build the future of Ondo State through informed, forward-looking technology strategies,” said Akinribido. “Governor Aiyedatiwa is committed to using ICT as a tool in empowering our youth, digitise government services, improve infrastructure, and stimulate the local economy.”

In the evening on Tuesday June 10th, I equally participated at a high-level discussion sideline event organised by the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy.

The event with the theme; HARNESSING NIGERIA’S OUTSOURCING OPPORTUNITY held at the Impact Hub at Euston, United Kingdom, and featured prominent tech experts led by Mr Francis Sani-Technical Adviser to the Honorable Minister, Dr Bosun Tijani.

On Thursday, June 12th, I travelled to the Republic of Ireland and visited the Dundalk Institute of Technology. i held discussions with the International office department about forging a partnership with the Ondo state Government on inculcating tech skills development among thousands of Ondo state residents.

Upcoming Technology and Digital Transformation Roadmap

The proposed Technology and Digital Transformation Roadmap will serve as a
strategic blueprint to guide Ondo State’s journey towards a more innovative and digitally empowered society. The roadmap will focus on:

  • ICT Infrastructure Development: Expanding broadband access and building
    foundational connectivity for all regions of the state.
  • E-Governance and Public Service Digitisation: Automating processes and
    improving access to public services.
  • Youth Capacity Building: Establishing digital hubs and training centres to equip
    young people with critical 21st-century skills.
  • HealthTech and EdTech Solutions: Enhancing access to healthcare and education
    through digital tools.
  • Support for Tech Startups: Encouraging entrepreneurship through innovation
    clusters, mentorship, and funding opportunities.
  • Smart Agriculture and Environmental Tech: Promoting digital agriculture and sustainable practices.

A Global Outlook for Local Impact

Ondo State’s presence at London Tech Week underscores the government’s proactive approach to learning, benchmarking, and forging partnerships with global stakeholders.

The administration aims to create an enabling environment for investors, innovators, and development partners looking to collaborate on digital and infrastructure projects across the state.


Governor Aiyedatiwa’s administration recognizes that technology is a key enabler of inclusive growth and sustainable development—and is determined to build the digital foundation required to transform lives and livelihoods across the state.
