BEING A COMMUNIQUE ISSUED AT THE END OF AN EMERGENCY MEETING HELD BY THE LEAGUE OF IMAMS AND ALFAS, AKOKO DIVISION TODAY MONDAY 16TH JUNE,2025 AT ADS CENTRAL MOSQUE ARIGIDI AKOKO.
1 The meeting condemned in it’s strongest therm the invasion of Imam Hussein Muhammad house and mosque by masquerades, their Chief priest and their followers at Okeagbe Akoko in Akoko Northwest in Ondo State at two different occasions on Thursday 12th June 2025.
2 The meeting demands an apology from the Chief priest called Smart and the followers of the masquerades.
3 The meeting demands that relevant authorities should probe or find out reasons for illegal invasion and make sure that their sponsors sign an undertaking that such does not repeat itself in future.
4, Relevant authorities must also ensure that the activities of the traditionalist are restricted to their area of operations and if they may come out to the public at all, Thursdays and Fridays of every week must be excluded
5 The meeting also demand that, Muslim sisters on their Hijabs must not be molested and there should be freedom of Islamic activities in Akokoland and everywhere in the southwestern Nigeria.
6 And lastly, the items 2 and 3 of demands must be effected within two weeks, otherwise, this body may decide to take another action.
