ONDO ASSEMBLY TO BEGIN SCREENING FOR COMMISSIONER NOMINEES
The Ondo State House of Assembly has set Thursday, Friday this week and Monday next week for the commencement of screening for the Commissioner nominees at the hallowed chambers.
This was made know during a plenary sitting presided over by the Speaker of the House,Rt.Hon(Chief) Olamide Oladiji in Akure today.
According to him, the Commissioner nominees who were forwarded to the House by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa are expected to undergo thorough screening by the House Committee of the Whole under his leadership.
Hon. Oladiji also asked the Commissioner nominees to come along with their valid certificates and updated curriculum vitae of at least 40 copies each.
The House majority leader, Honourable (Chief)Olatunji Oshati representing Ose Constituency had earlier moved the motion of approval of the letter sent to the House by Governor Aiyedatiwa for nomination of persons as Commissioner and was seconded by the lawmaker representing Irele Constituency, Honourable,Dr.Chris Ogunlana.
It will be recalled that the Governor of Ondo State, Dr.Lucky Aiyedatiwa, had on June 12, 2025 forwarded to the Ondo State House of Assembly a list of 12 nominees for the positions of Commissioners in the State Executive Council for confirmation.
Oladiji later, used the medium to congratulate the Governor of Ondo State,Dr.Lucky Orimisan and his Deputy, Dr Olaide Adelami(MNI)over their victory at the Election Petition Tribunal recently.
