Tragedy struck as a final-year student of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo (RUGIPO) identified as Arobo Precious, has allegedly committed suicide.
It was gathered that the 28-year old undergraduate who is Higher National Diploma (HND) II at the institution, was found dead around 9pm in a bush near his residence in Owo.
The deceased was said to have posted a video prior to his death and the caption of the viral video suggested his death was driven by emotional distress following a failed relationship.
The video was captioned: “Eniayewu Opeyemi was the one who got me into this people say there is still life out there but to me there is nothing anymore.”
A source who pleaded anonymity hinted that the deceased had been buried, adding that the parents were heartbroken over the ugly development.
“He has been buried, in fact the parents were heartbroken over his death. Precious was a good person.”
