Ondo First Lady, Oluwaseun Aiyedatiwa joins Nigerian First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu to Condole with Aisha Buhari in Daura

The First Lady of Ondo State, Her Excellency Esther Oluwaseun Aiyedatiwa, on Friday, joined the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, and other State First Ladies on a condolence visit to Daura, Katsina State, to commiserate with former First Lady, Her Excellency Aisha Buhari, over the death of her beloved husband and Nigeria’s former President, Muhammadu Buhari.

The visit, which took place at the Buhari family residence in Daura Local Government Area, was marked by solemn prayers, heartfelt consolations, and an atmosphere of empathy as the nation continues to mourn the loss of one of its most prominent statesmen.

Speaking during the visit, Her Excellency Esther Oluwaseun Aiyedatiwa expressed deep sorrow and solidarity with the bereaved family, stating:

“This is a moment of shared grief and profound reflection. Her Excellency Aisha Buhari is not just a former First Lady; she remains a symbol of resilience and grace in our national history.

“We came to stand with her in love and prayer, to honour the legacy of her husband, our dear former President Muhammadu Buhari. May his soul find eternal rest, and may the Almighty grant the family strength and peace during this difficult time.”

The visit by the First Ladies was a demonstration of national unity, compassion, and the enduring bonds of sisterhood that transcend state lines and politics.

Former President Muhammadu Buhari, who served as Nigeria’s democratically elected leader from 2015 to 2023, was widely regarded for his commitment to national service, anti-corruption reforms, and leadership through challenging times.

The delegation’s presence in Daura underscored the nation’s collective grief and respect for a man whose life and service left a lasting impact on Nigeria’s political and democratic landscape.
