On July 21, 2025, the Daramola Adesuyi Foundation (DAF) has awarded scholarships to seven exceptional pupils of Women Affairs Nursery and Primary School, Ondo West Local Government Area, during the school’s End of Session Party, Graduation, and Prize Giving Ceremony.
The ceremony marked the close of the 2024/2025 academic calendar and served as a celebration of academic excellence.
The scholarship awards were originally pledged during the school’s Inter-House Sports Competition on February 29, 2024, where Barr. Adesuyi Daramola, founder of the Foundation, was honored as Patron of Blue House. Representing the foundation at the ceremony was Mrs. Mosunmola Beatrice Fameewo, who underscored DAF’s ongoing commitment to grassroots education and youth development.
“As the Patron of Blue House, it is truly a privilege to mentor and encourage these brilliant young minds,” Mrs. Fameewo remarked. “This award is not just a gesture—it is part of our mission to inspire a culture of excellence from the ground up.”
The scholarships were awarded under the DAF Scholar Awards, a flagship initiative of the Foundation aimed at encouraging outstanding academic performance in public schools.
The program gives meaningful expression to DAF’s mission: to reward excellence, reduce inequality, and empower future leaders through education.
The Foundation also extended heartfelt commendation to the Chairman of Ondo West Local Government and the Department of Community Development, which oversees the school. Despite offering low-cost tuition, the school continues to deliver quality education—thanks to the strategic investment and dedication of the local government in maintaining a conducive learning environment.
The Foundation also expressed sincere appreciation to the Headteacher, Mrs. Adewole Rachael, and her team for their unwavering dedication to academic growth, discipline, and character development among the pupils.
