…set to begin secondary arm next academic session
It was a combination of brain and colour on Saturday, July 26, 2025, as Pride of Zion Montessori International School, Ilekun Oda Road, Akure, marked the end of the academic session.
The end-of-year graduation and prize-giving ceremony, themed “Superhero Day”, held at the school premises, was attended by invited guests, including traditional rulers, parents and guardians, teachers, and other well-wishers.
The school pupils, including graduands, used the colourful occasion to showcase their talents in line with their dream professions and other extracurricular activities.
Speaking at the well-attended ceremony, the Director of the school, Rev. (Dr) Mrs Ayo Adeyemo (JP), FICEN, announced the cheering news that both the state and federal governments have approved the secondary arm of the nursery and primary school, which is set to commence in the next academic session this September.
According to her, the school, which began less than two years ago, is already taking the lead in academic excellence, with its pupils excelling in both internal and external examinations.
Dr Adeyemo appreciated God, the parents and guardians, the school executives, teachers, and other stakeholders for their unwavering support, urging them to sustain the momentum to elevate the school to greater heights.
She stated that the school remains fully committed to the proper upbringing and nurturing of pupils for a brighter future, just as she took time to thank God for His faithfulness throughout the journey so far.
The school Director also encouraged parents and guardians to enrol their children in the school, stressing that it boasts competent and dedicated teachers capable of helping pupils realise their dreams.

“As we conclude the third term, I am filled with pride and joy seeing our children grow and thrive. Your hard work and dedication have paid off.
“I’d like to thank our teachers for their tireless efforts, our parents for their unwavering support, and our pupils for their enthusiasm and curiosity. As we look forward to the next term, let us continue to strive for excellence and nurture the young minds that will shape our future,” she added.
In his exhortation, Pastor (Dr) Lanre Olaleye congratulated both the school management and the pupils on the strides made so far and encouraged the Director to keep up the good work.
“Continue to praise God; continue to appreciate Him for what He is doing here,” he said.
He also advised parents to continue supporting their wards and to help them build courage and showcase their talents, urging them to “dream big and think big.”
Some pupils and parents who spoke with journalists described the ceremony as highly eventful, noting that the school lays a solid foundation for future heroes.
Highlights of the event included debates, award and prize presentations, career progression parade, superhero awareness, cultural displays, traditional dances, musical performances, drama skits, choir presentations, recognition of pupils’ achievements, as well as indoor and outdoor games.
