Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa is committed to revamping the healthcare sector in Ondo state, especially in the oil-producing communities.

The Chairman of the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC), Prince Biyi Poroye announced this, pledged that the agency will complete and ensure that the Governor commissions the 15-year-abandoned Agadagba-Obon General Hospital within his first 100 days in office as the Chairman.

Poroye stated this when he led members of the Commission’s Board and the Ondo State House of Assembly committee on an inspection tour of key projects in oil-producing mandate areas.

The hospital, which has been in a state of disrepair for over a decade, has been a major concern for the people of Ese-Odo local government. The OSOPADEC Chairman’s assurance has brought hope to the people of Ese-Odo, who have been advocating for the hospital’s completion and commissioning.

The commissioning of the Agadagba-Obon General Hospital will be seen as a major milestone in the Governor’s efforts to improve the lives of the people.

The team also visited Igbotu Township Road project linking Apoi communities to Irele LGA, with Poroye assuring residents that its completion remains a priority already captured in the Commission’s budget.

According to the Chairman, Governor Aiyedatiwa is committed to revamping the healthcare sector in the state, particularly in the oil-producing areas. The commissioning of the Agadagba-Obon General Hospital is seen as a major milestone in the Governor’s efforts to improve the lives of the people.

The delegation also paid homage to the Agadagba of Arogbo Kingdom, Pere Zacchaeus Egbunu, where Poroye reaffirmed the Governor’s commitment to ending abandoned projects. The monarch expressed gratitude to the government and blessed the Commission’s renewed efforts.
