The Ondo State Police Command has arrested a 24year-old lady, Augustina Mowarin who allegedly stabbed her boyfriend to death in Okitipupa.
Augustina was alleged to have stabbed her partner, one Michael Ikuedowoni to death due to a misunderstanding fuelled by infidelity allegation.
Confirming the arrest, the State Commissioner of Police, CP Lawal Adebowale, told newsmen in Akure at the weekend that the incident occured over two weeks before it was reported to the police.
According to the Police Commissioner, the suspect was relocated to Irele police Division from Okitipupa to prevent mob action and later transferred to the State CID in Akure for further investigation and prosecution.
He said, “Murder – Girlfriend Stabs Partner to Death in OkitipupaOn 27th July 2025, a delayed-report murder involving one Michael Ikuedowoni (25), who was stabbed by his girlfriend Augustina Mowarin (24), came to light after his death at Omosanya Private Hospital. The incident reportedly occurred two weeks prior.
“The suspect was relocated to Irele Division to prevent mob action and is being transferred to SCID Akure for further investigation.”
