Advocacy Visits: Akinrinlola Olokunboro Foundation, (AOF), introduced to Monarchs, Key Stakeholders in Akure South/Akure North

A part of efforts to introduce and project the Akinrinlola Olokunboro Foundation, (AOF), the management of the organization has commenced advocacy visits to key stakeholders in Akure South and Akure North local government areas.

The Foundation that was established few month ago to immortalise a Prominent Political Figure in Akure, Late Chief Akinrinlola Olokunboro who was one of the key Progrssives leaders who was an ally of Late Sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo and late Chief Adekunle Ajasin.

The management of the Akinrinlola Olokunboro Foundation (AOF), led by
Barrister Oluwatoba Olaifa who is the Foundation Project Manager and Hon. O.D.A. Ameto- Representative of the Akinrinlola Olokunboro Foundation, visited Traditional rulers, Political/Opinion leaders and market leaders in the two Akure Council Areas.

The purpose of the foundation is to empower the underprivileged, widow, women and Youths and for the betterment of the Akure South /Akure North as whole.

The Akinrinlola Olokunboro foundation (AOF) was established in honor of the Late Pa Akinrinlola Olokunboro, who was a visionary Leaders and  grassroots politician who shaped Progressive Politics in Ondo State in the 1970s and 1980s.
 
According to Barr. Olaifa, “PA Akinrinlola Olokunboro was a respected member of the Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN) which inherited its welfarist ideas From the Action Group (AG). Pa Olokunboro was renowned for his simplicity, Accessibility, and lifelong commitment to people -centered democracy.

“His home became a hub for political activities, hosting numerous democratic primaries and mentoring emerging political leaders. He dreamed of a society where governance serves everyone equitable.”

The Foundation is a direct extension of this dream founded to continue his legacy through humanitarian service and social impact programmes across Ondo State.

The scope of foundation includes; Food Security, Housing Support, Job training, Healthcare Access, Education and Literacy, Financial Assistance and Community Outreach in both Akure South and Akure North local government areas.

To this effect, the objective of the advocacy meetings is to keep the monarchs and political leaders informed about the Foundation’s mission, activities, and the benefits aimed to bring to Akure indigenes and Ondo State as a whole, through its philanthropic initiatives and commitment to serving humanity.

The Management team of the Akinrinlola Olokunboro Foundation, in the last two weeks had visited some prominent figures and strategic places while the Deji of Akure Kingdom, some traditional rulers, the Asiwaju of Akure, Chief Ifedayo Abegunde as well as Iya-Olojas of Akure are part of the target for the project.

The Foundation also reached out to Igoba, Oda, Obaile and other communities to register their presence and share with them the vision and mission of the Akinrinlola Olokunboro Foundation.

The Foundation team also visited the Ondo State Commissioner for Agriculture and Forestry, Hon. Leye Akinola; Honourable Sunday Olajide who is the State Commissioner For Physical And Urban Planning as well as the Chief Press Secretary to the Ondo State Governor, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan.

In his Address, Hon. Ameto comnended all the important stakeholders that were present, soliciting more support from the various community leaders to enable them achieve set mission and vision of the Akinrinlola Olokunboro Foundation.
