Some unknown gunmen have reportedly kidnapped a medical workers, simply known as Pastor Ayodeji Akesinro at his residence located at Upenme in Owo local government area of Ondo State.
SUNSHINETRUTH News gathered that the victim, who is a staff of the Federal Medical Centre, Owo, was abducted around 7:00pm last night (28th August, 2025) while inside his house.
Confirming the incident to our reporter, a Senior labour leader under NUAHP at the hospital who spoke anonymously, said the incident had been reported to security operatives.

Dear esteemed leaders and members of NUAHP,
I am writing to bring to your attention the distressing news of the kidnapping of our colleague and member, Pastor Akesinro in his house at Upenme on Owo local government area of Ondo State at about 7pm yesterday, 28th of August, 2025.
As a union, we have always stood strong in advocating for the welfare and security of our members. In light of this unfortunate event, members of NUAHP may need to declare a day of protest in Owo to demand the immediate and safe release of Pastor Akeshinro.
DEMANDS:
- Immediate and safe release of Pastor AKesinro.
- Increased security measures in Owo and its surroundings to prevent future kidnappings, particularly, of health workers which has become incessant.
- Collaboration with security agencies to ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice.
