There was a confusion when a middle-aged father has been Apprehended by the Ekiti State Police Command for allegedly killing a boy on the account that he was having an affair with his daughter.
The incident happened after the boy visited the girl in the father’s house located around the popular Corpers’ lodge, New Iyin Road, Ado Ekiti.
According to witnesses, the father who was not happy with the courtship of the boy and his daughter was said to have mobilised some of his siblings and attacked the young boy, a situation that led to a confusion in the neighbourhood.
It was reported that the boy was later rushed to the hospital where he died from excessive bleeding as a result of the injury sustained during the attack.
Confirming the incident to newsmen, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Sunday Abutu said the father and one other person have been arrested and arraigned before a magistrate court in Ado Ekiti.
