“Sources said Ojo Peter was robbed of his cross bag; despite pleading to the robbers that the bag contained no money, he was still shot in the back,” Oladapo said.
While describing the incident as unfortunate, Oladapo urged the State Police Command to fish out the killers of the deceased journalist.
Oladapo, on behalf of the Union’s Chairman, Ademola Babalola who was on annual leave condoled the family of the deceased and urged them to take solace in the fact that the deceased left indelible marks in the sand of time.
It would be recalled that Ojo Peter’s brother, Peter Enahoro, on Monday expressed grief over the senseless killing, highlighting his brother left home healthy but was gunned down while trying to make ends meet.
The media community in Oyo State is mourning his loss, with calls for justice and accountability by the Oyo NUJ.
