
School Resumption : Olamide Falana Gifts School Children Materials, Parents Appreciate Gesture
Parents And Teachers ,including the pupils of L.A 1 primary school Akure the ondo state capital were on Monday full of life and appreciation to the Chief executive Officer of Girl To Women Development Centre, G2W, Chief Mrs Olamide Falana over the provision of school materials given to the less privileged children as a way of bringing them to school
No fewer than 22 school bags , sandals ,socks and exercise books were given to the school children of L..A 1 primary school ,Akure
Newly made school Uniforms were also presented to the children .
The initiative was sponsored by Girls to Women Resourse Development Centre (G2W)
Speaking on behalf of the parents, Mrs Alimat Ramat Abdulahi , the leader of Hausa women in the state appreciated the kind gesture of Mrs Olamide Falana
While Speaking ,the Executive Director of the Girls To Women Research and Development Centre , Mrs Falana explained that she embarked on such laudable gesture so as to bring life to the less privileged- children who roam about the streets during school hours.
Chief Olamide Falana, explained that the gesture was borne out of the passion she has for the little children most especially , the less privileged in the society.
” I noticed that some little children around the streets are not Opportuned and privileged like their counterparts”
“Looking around this place ,its a community largely dominated by the Hausa speaking people which we felt their children must be in school , she said
The headmistress and all the teachers of L .A 1 primary school, Akure jointly praised and welcomed the development.
Also speaking ,the Chairman of All Civil Society Organizations in the state Alo Martins expressed gratitude to the initiator ,Mrs Olamide Falana who encouraged the little children back to school ,therefore urged government at all levels to emulate such in making the dreams of the little ones a reality.
“Its a nice thing having this for the school children. Provision of school bags , Uniforms ,books and sandals are so laudable,” Alo said.
One of the sponsors , Mr Rojugbonkan , the Chairman of Ondo State Internal Revunue Services ,who witnessed the presentation ,was highly appreciated by the CEO of the Centre and as well by the parents
The ODIRS boss, was full of enthusiasm having noticed the joy on the children
According to him, “am happy seeing the children today wearing new uniforms ,sandals and bags. We will continue to do more to keep encouraging the less privileged in the society”, Rojugbongan said.
