HIS EXCELLENCY,

HON. LUCKY ORIMISAN AIYEDATIWA, THE EXECUTIVE GOVENOR OF ONDO STATE, OFFICE OF MR. GOVENOR, ALAGBAKA, AKURE.

RE: CALL FOR URGENT ACTION

The Ondo State Joint Public Service Negotiating Council (OSJPNSC) present its compliments to the Executive Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa and wishes to invite your attention to our disturbance over the lack of responses by the state Government to labour issues in respect of Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Nigerian Union of Allied Health Professionals (NUANP), and National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives (NANNM), Medical and Health Workers Union (MHWUN).

Sir, it is pertinent to note that several letters had been written to your Excellency on the subject.

These include:

  1. JNC/25/001 dated 14th August, 2025 attached as Appendix I; and
  2. JNC/25/003-dated 29th August, 2025 attached as Appendix II

Unfortunately, Sir, there has not been any response from the State Government. For the avoidance of doubt, the issues raised include the following:

1) Non-payment of four (4) months outstanding Hazard Allowance (October 2024 to January 2025)

2) Non-payment of outstanding Gratuity/Pension arrears from 2015 to date and

3) Non-payment of six (6) months Promotion Arrears from July 2024 to December 2024.

It is against this backdrop that a joint meeting of the JNC, NMA, NUAHP, NANNM and MHWUN held on Thursday 18th September, 2025 unanimously resolved to issue a 15-Day ultimatum to the State Government commencing from Friday, September 19, 2025 to Friday, 3rd October, 2025 to address the highlighted Issues.

Please accept the assurances of our best wishes and esteemed regards.

Comrade Olusegun Ajiboye
Chairman, JNC
