Jubilation as Ondo Senator Ipinsagba distributes books, bags, other learning materials to pupils in Owo/Ose

STUDENTS, PARENTS JUBILATE AS SENATOR JIDE IPINSAGBA SPREAD BACK TO SCHOOL EDUCATION SUPPORT INITIATIVES TO OWO, OSE COUNCIL AREAS

It was a sight to behold as students from selected secondary schools in Owo and Ose local Government areas of Ondo State gathered at the Auditorium of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo for their turn in the Senator Jide Ipinsagba facilitated “Back to School Education Support Initiatives.”

Addressing the students, Senator Ipinsagba, representing Ondo North Senatorial District said the initiative was borne out of his passion for education and youth development.

The Lawmaker said four other local government areas in the Senatorial District had enjoyed similar gestures in the lineup advancement programs for the people of the district.

“The idea is to ensure we put up a program that will relieve the parents of this school’s children and serve as palliatives to ease the tension associated with resumption.”

Senator Ipinsagba emphasized that he will do what it takes to back up government policy on education and support the Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa education move at reshaping the education sector in Ondo State.

Speaking at the occasion, the Vice Chairman, All Progressives Congress, APC in Owo Local Government, Alhaji Kamaru Yakubu described the education support initiative as timely especially as the schools just resumed in Ondo State.

Alhaji Yakubu commended Senator Ipinsagba for the numerous constituencies engagement in Ondo North Senatorial District and his passion for party leadership.

A School Administrator, Mr. Oluseye Ogunbodede while addressing the students, urged them to make judicious use of the education materials even as the new government policy on education allows transfer of textbooks for over four years usage.

Mr Ogunbodede appealed to the students to ensure the purpose of the initiative is not defeated.

Another Scholar, and the Chairman, Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, ASUP, RUGIPO Chapter, Comrade Ade Arikawe charged the students to put their academics as a priority.

Some of the benefiting students, Ekundayo Remilekun, Afolayan Dolapo and Oloye Eunice all expressed joy for the kind gestures of Senator Ipinsagba and promised to make good use of the books, bags and other academic support materials.

The event was attended by parents of the students, political leaders, including Wards Chairmen, Women Leader, Students Union representatives, and liaison Officers to Senator Jide Ipinsagba in the two local government areas.
