The Odeke 2025 Educational Support Program, which traditionally takes place every August/September ahead of the resumption of primary and secondary school sessions for students in Ekan Quarter, has once again been successfully conducted this year.
This year’s educational program was generously sponsored by Engineer Aliu Bello, Managing Director of Kharrl Tech Engineering and Associates Limited.

During the event, school materials including books, , and other writing supplies were distributed to three primary schools in Ekan Quarter: Salem Africa School , AUD School 4.and Ekan ile community primary school
In his speech, Engineer Aliu Bello emphasized the importance of education to society. He also assured parents and the wider Ekan community of his continued commitment to promoting educational development and the overall betterment of the people.
The dignitaries present at the event included some chiefs from Ekan, among them Chief Olokelede, a renowned political and community leader; Honorable Sanya Orungbemi, Education Secretary; Honorable Adejoro Ganiyu Lion, Chairman of the PTA of Salem Africa Primary School, Ekan; the Headmaster of Ansar-deen School 4; the Headmaster of Ekan Ile Community Primary School; and other distinguished guests.
Honorable Sanya Orungbemi, a respected politician and community leader, praised the Odeke Educational Program and its annual interest-free loan initiative aimed at promoting financial independence among family members. He also commended the ongoing construction of community projects, describing them as exemplary achievements that should inspire other parts of Ikare.
In his speech, Honorable Orungbemi also acknowledged the unwavering support of High Chief Olokelede of Ekan, commending him for his dedication to the welfare and progress of his people. He further lauded Engineer Aliu Bello for his commitment to uplifting the community, emphasizing that the youth are the backbone of any society and the key to its success.
Another dignitary, Honorable Adejoro Ganiyu Lion, also expressed his appreciation for Engineer Aliu Bello and High Chief Olodeke, pledging his support for future editions of the program.
Mrs. Sanni Rashidat, a parent whose two children benefited from the program, spoke on behalf of all parents to express gratitude to Engineer Aliu Bello and Chief Olodeke for their generosity. She prayed for the divine protection of Almighty Allah upon Engineer Aliu Bello, his family, and all members of the Odeke family.
