The newly launched ‘PrepTutor e-learning platform’ by Daramola Adesuyi Foundation (DAF) will develop and boost the potentials of students in Ondo city particular and Ondo state in general.

In an address, the DAF Project Lead, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Akinola-Idowu said, “It is my pleasure to welcome you all on behalf of the Daramola Adesuyi Foundation to this milestone event, the official launch of PrepTutor, our educational e-learning platform designed to complement government efforts in promoting digital literacy and quality education.

“In 2024, we introduced the Prep platform, which gave senior secondary school students access to WAEC, NECO, and JAMB past questions. With the support of the Ministry of Education, it was successfully piloted in Ondo East and Ondo West, reaching hundreds of students. Its success made one thing clear, our students are eager to learn, and when provided with the right tools their potential knows no limits.Ondo property listings

“Today, we are building on that foundation with PrepTutor (Phase 2), a more comprehensive, curriculum-aligned platform that offers over 400 interactive video lessons, with a strong emphasis on STEM subjects, expert-led tutorials, exam readiness tools, and even a reward system that motivates students to stay consistent in their learning.

“With PrepTutor, learning is not confined to the classroom; it becomes accessible anytime, anywhere. DAF appreciate our guests, and education stakeholders, we say thank you for your dedication. Akinola-Idowu pledged the commitment of the foundation to continue to work with government, relevant stakeholders, NGOs, and communities, to make education not only accessible but also innovative, engaging, and transformative for every child in Ondo city and Ondo State.Ondo property listings

She explained that the foundation core initiatives include educational support and digital literacy; bridging knowledge gaps through scholarship awards, e-learning initiatives and career counseling initiatives, community health outreach which promotes well-being through free medical initiatives and comprehensive health education, and empowerment and community development.

Speaking at the event, the Executive Chairman of Ondo State Information Technology Agency (SITA), Hon Tomide Akinribido commended the initiator of the foundation, Barrister Adesuyi Daramola for his vision to develop and enhance students learning capacity through the e-learning platform.

Akinribido said the DAF initiative restated the Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s priority through the Ondo State Information Technology Agency the drive technological advancements in the state.

“One of the SITA mandates among others is to drive technological advancement, promoting ICT ventures, and providing ICT services for government agencies in Ondo State, Nigeria. SITA is committed to improving government efficiency and service delivery through e-governance, standardization of ICT equipment, and fostering citizen engagement via digital platforms. The agency also plays a role in youth empowerment and attracting investment in the ICT sector.

“Also, the agency is mandated to enhance digital literacy in partnership with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.

“Last week, the Ondo State government signed an MoU with Telecommunications company to deploy an e-learning management system for students and this is what DAF is launching today, the government is happy with the initiator and the foundation.

“The e-learning Prep platform is very much important in unlocking the potential by creating personalised, adaptive mobile friendly and engaging education; the platform launched today makes education more adaptive, friendly and easy to access.

“It revolutionised the traditional classroom, providing students with modern tools to achieve the academic goals. It is a commendable and laudable project.”

Also speaking, Ondo West Education Secretary, Barrister Mathew Bada said the e-learning platform will enhance wider reading of the students Ondo property listings

Bada commended the foundation for investing on the e-learning platform noted that technology, innovation, and counselling will unlock the potential of students in this digital age.

He said the Prep e-learning platform will enhance free learning, urged the students to take full advantage of the programme to widen their scope and develop the nation.

The guest speaker, Dr. Funmilola Mabel Ojo, who speaks on the theme: Education in the digital age; Unlocking potential with the Prep Edutech platform, said education in the digital age involves using digital tools like online platforms, apps, and multimedia to create flexible, inclusive, and personalized learning experiences that extend beyond traditional classrooms.

“This approach enhances student engagement through interactive content, provides teachers with data-driven insights, fosters lifelong learning opportunities, and offers greater accessibility, though challenges remain in ensuring equity, teacher training, and digital citizenship.

“The Prep allows learners to access educational resources and courses anytime and anywhere, breaking down geographical and socioeconomic barriers. Technologies enable tailoring learning experiences to individual needs and paces, enhancing engagement and comprehension.

“The Digital age has brought in a shifting in learning. It has opened up new opportunities for students and teachers which will improve learning outcomes and enhance teacher effectiveness.

“E-learning platforms like Prep will facilitate continuous learning and professional development beyond formal schooling and connect learners and educators worldwide through shared digital resources and communities.”
