
65TH INDEPENDENCE ANNIVERSARY:ONDO SPEAKER, OLADIJI CALLS FOR UNITY AND PROGRESS.
As Nigeria celebrates her 65th Independence today, the Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon(Chief) Olamide Oladiji has called on citizens to pray for the continued unity and progress of the country in order to achieve a common goal.
This was contained in a goodwill message personally signed by the Speaker today in Akure.
While calling on individuals to put all hands on deck for a stronger and better Nigeria through hard work, loyalty and love for the nation,the Speaker lauds and remembers those that fought for Nigeria’s independence, describing them as true heroes.
Oladiji,appreciates the President of Nigeria,Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR for his various robust initiatives, expressing optimism that with his experience, prowess and tenacity, Nigeria would soon take its rightful position as the giant of Africa.
“Your bold and transformative economic reform implemented under the Renewed Hope Agenda are a testament to your peerless in courage, conviction and patriotism.Your steadfast commitment to national unity, economic revitalisation and democratic governance remains a source of inspiration to all Nigerians,”the statement reads.
Chief Oladiji also commends the Governor of Ondo State,Dr.Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for the various landmark achievements recorded by his administration since assumption of office.
The Speaker,who extends his heartfelt greetings to all Nigerians at home and abroad on this special occasion,prays for guidance of God in the Country’s pursuit of a brighter tomorrow.
