Tragedy struck on Wednesday morning when a man was crushed to death by a truck along Oda Road in Akure, Ondo State.
The deceased, who was said to be returning home after dropping his children at school, met his untimely death when the speeding tipper lost control and rammed into his motorcycle.
An eyewitness who spoke with The Hope said the incident occurred in a flash, leaving residents and passersby in shock.
“The man had just dropped his children at school and was on his way home when the tipper crushed him. It was a very sad scene,” the eyewitness said.
The impact of the crash reportedly killed the man on the spot.
At the time of filing this report, the body of the deceased had been evacuated from the scene, while efforts were ongoing to arrest the tipper driver, who fled immediately after the incident. The Hope
