I received with deep sadness the news of the passing of the beloved mother of my dear brother and friend, Hon. Kingsley Kemebradigha Kuku — former Special Adviser to President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan on Niger Delta Affairs and Chairman of the Presidential Amnesty Programme — the late Mama Keketobou Jane Kuku (née Gbamila), who departed this life at the graceful age of 90.

Mama Kuku lived a life marked by faith, discipline, and unwavering devotion to her family and community. She was a matriarch of virtue whose selfless spirit, moral strength, and deep compassion left an indelible mark on all who encountered her. Through her nurturing hands and godly example, she raised generations who today reflect the values she so diligently upheld.

Her son, Hon. Kingsley Kuku, and other members of her family stand as living testaments to her legacy of integrity, resilience, and service to humanity. Indeed, Mama Kuku’s life reminds us that greatness is measured not by possessions, but by the positive impact one leaves on others.

On behalf of the Government and the good people of Ondo State, I extend my heartfelt condolences to Hon. Kingsley Kuku, the entire Kuku and Gbamila families, and the Arogbo Kingdom on this great loss.

May God grant them the strength to bear this irreplaceable loss, and may Mama’s gentle soul rest in perfect peace in the bosom of the Lord.

Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa,
Governor of Ondo State.
