…. Kidnappers change tactics

Report says two girls have miraculously escaped a kidnapping attempt in Akure the Ondo State capital perpetrated by men suspected to be ritualists using taxis and keke tricycles to carry out their nefarious acts.
The two girls, one, Grace Nashery and another lady reportedly took a taxi cab from Danjuma junction on Ondo road and were going to Adebowale area when the incident happened.
The cab which had three other men and the driver then took them to Owena after Akure where the driver strangely dumped the young ladies.
Narrating the incident, one of the victims, Grace who said they did not know the location until a good samaritan found them and told them they were in Owena afterwhich their parents were contacted in the dead of the night and the duo were subsequently rescued.
Speaking with newsmen, one of the victims parents, Pastor Nashery Doki believed the taxi driver was part of a ritualists network operating in the State capital.
Expressing gratitude to God for the safe return of the two young women , Pastor Doki warned the people of the state to be watchful and also called on the police authorities to uncover and dismantle ritualists network operating in the State.
Another Akure Resident who spoke anonymously, said “not too long, God saved my Pastor’s daughter as well on Ilesa Road in Akure here, she was going to Aule but the driver sped off to roadblock, wound up the glass and locked the taxi doors, the young woman started shouting, as they were approaching Oloko junction where the traffic warden were, the driver suspecting there might be issue, pushed her out of the taxi and sped off.”
“These kidnappers, ritualists are every route in Akure. Police must do something about this new wave of insecurity urgently.”
