
Afolabi Momoh Mogaji, a prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Ondo north Senatorial aspirant in Ondo State, has expressed sorrow over the death of eight people in a truck accident in Akungba Akoko.
In a statement issued to newsmen on Thursday, Momoh commiserated with the families of the victims and the entire Akungba community, describing the incident as “deeply saddening and heartbreaking.”
He urged residents to remain resilient in the face of the tragedy and called on relevant authorities to take urgent measures to prevent similar accidents in the future.
Momoh also appealed to government agencies and well meaning Nigerians to provide support and necessary assistance to the affected families.
“Our hearts go out to the families who lost loved ones in this unfortunate incident. May the souls of the departed rest in peace and may those left behind find strength and courage to endure this difficult period,” he said.
The APC chieftain further called for enhanced road safety measures in the area, emphasizing the need for responsible infrastructure development to protect lives.
