A popular Islamic scholar and renowned Teacher, Fadhilat Sheikh Yunus Abdullahi Anola, has emerged the Grand Chief Imam of Owo Kingdom.
Until his selection, Anola served as the Imam of Ondo State Government House Mosque, ALAGBAKA-Akure and his appointment was announced yesterday by the Muslim community in the town.
The new Chief Imam succeeds late Alhaji Ahmed Aladesawe who passed on recently.
Aladesawe was until death few weeks ago, the Chief of the Ondo State League of Imams & Alfa as well as the Secretary General of the league in Southwest, Edo & Delta states.
According to an Muslim faithful from Owo, “Alhamdulilah! Alhamdulilah! Alhamdulilah robul alamina. He who the cap fits should wear it. We thank Allah that Owo Muslim Community made the right decision.
“May Allah ease the Imamship for him, and make it beneficial to Owo, Ondo State, Nigeria, Islam and humanity. Aameen thuma aameen.”
