2027: Ex-Ifedore Assembly candidate, Olofinyokun declares support for Reps ambition of Prince Aderosoye Fadola

Former SA on Education and ZLP Candidate, Hon. Lateef Olofinyokun Declares Support for Prince Aderosoye Fadola, Calls for Unity in Ilara-Mokin

In a bold and heartfelt declaration that has sparked widespread attention within Ifedore political circles, Hon. Lateef Olofinyokun, a former Special Assistant on Education to Hon. Festus Akingbaso (Member, House of Representatives) and 2023 House of Assembly candidate under the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP), has officially endorsed Prince Aderosoye Emmanuel Fadola for the forthcoming 2027 House of Representatives election.

In a statement personally signed and shared across various community platforms, Hon. Olofinyokun emphasized that his decision was born out of deep reflection and a strong sense of responsibility toward the progress of his hometown, Ilara-Mokin.

“My life’s mission has always been the progress and development of Ilara-Mokin. There is truly no place like home, and I have come to understand that our internal divisions during political contests only hold our community back and deprive us of the collective benefits we deserve,” he said.

Olofinyokun, who once contested to represent Ifedore Constituency at the Ondo State House of Assembly, stated that his support for Prince Fadola transcends political party lines, describing it as a conscious choice anchored on unity and development.

“After deep reflection, I have reached a decision I believe is crucial for our future. In the upcoming House of Representatives election, I will be offering my full support to Prince Aderosoye Fadola. I make this choice with one principle above all else: Ilara-Mokin comes first,” he declared.

He further cited examples of communities like Idanre and Igbara-Oke that achieved political strength through unity, urging Ilara-Mokin indigenes to emulate such cooperation.

“From now on, any worthy son or daughter of Ilara-Mokin aspiring for political office will have my support, regardless of party affiliation,” he added.

Olofinyokun also took a moment to appreciate his political leader and mentor, Hon. Festus Akingbaso, for his guidance and numerous contributions to the people, including facilitating federal employment opportunities. He, however, noted that his latest move is guided by conscience and community interest.

“Sir, you have been a tremendous benefactor to me. You are a man of dignity who has proven his worth time and again, and I will forever be grateful. However, at this critical juncture, I believe my community needs me to stand for unity and its own future. Ilara-Mokin must come first, even before personal loyalties,” he said.

He concluded his message by describing Prince Aderosoye Emmanuel Fadola as a man of character, compassion, and proven service to humanity, expressing confidence that Fadola’s emergence in the National Assembly would bring visible progress to the constituency.

“He is a true man of the people, a compassionate listener, and a known philanthropist who gives selflessly. While he has never held a government position, his record of service to the people is undeniable,” Olofinyokun affirmed.

He ended with a call for reconciliation and renewed unity among all Ilara-Mokin indigenes, stating,

“To every individual I may have offended throughout my political journey, I offer my sincere apologies. Let us unite to build the Ilara-Mokin we all deserve.”

Hon. Lateef Olofinyokun’s declaration is widely seen as a major boost for the Prince Aderosoye Fadola Movement, strengthening the momentum of a campaign that continues to gain grassroots appeal across Ifedore and Idanre.
