Akinrinlola Olokunboro Foundation launches Free Health Check, Medication Program at Igoba, Akure

The Akinrinlola Olokunboro Foundation (AOF) is once again set to touch lives in a meaningful way as it launches a Free Health Check and Medication Program in Igoba, Akure, on Thursday, November 13, 2025.

The outreach will hold at St. Mathew’s Primary School, Igoba, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The health outreach is designed to provide free medical consultations, checkups, and medications to residents of Igoba and its neighboring communities. It reflects the Foundation’s strong commitment to improving the welfare and well-being of Akure indigenes through accessible healthcare and humanitarian support.

Last month, the Foundation visited Igoba for its Entrepreneurship Empowerment Program, where more than 25 small-scale business owners received financial support to grow their trades and sustain their livelihoods. This gesture formed part of the Foundation’s mission to promote self-reliance, reduce hardship, and strengthen local businesses.

Over the past few months, the Foundation has been deeply involved in several impactful community programs aimed at building a cleaner, healthier, and more empowered Akure. Through its “Make Akure Clean Again” initiative, the Foundation has carried out sanitation exercises across Akure South and Akure North Local Government Areas, visiting major markets such as Isinkan, Oda, and Iju to promote cleanliness and environmental responsibility among traders and residents.

In the education sector, the Foundation has distributed learning materials to more than 600 pupils across various primary schools in Akure. This effort was aimed at easing the financial burden on parents and helping children stay motivated and focused on their studies.

The Foundation’s leadership has also embarked on visits to several community leaders and traditional rulers, including the Deji of Akure, the Asiwaju of Akure, Chief Ifedayo Abegunde, and many market leaders in Akure North and South, to build lasting partnerships that will enhance community development.

For the Olokunboro Family, Igoba holds a special place in their hearts. It is one of their ancestral homes and remains very dear to Prince Akintayo Olokunboro, the Founder and Sponsor of the Akinrinlola Olokunboro Foundation. As a proud son of Igoba, Prince Akintayo has continued to champion projects that uplift his people through education, business empowerment, health initiatives, and environmental campaigns.

In addition, the family has been actively supporting the preparations for the first-ever Igoba Day Celebration, showing their love and dedication to the progress and unity of their hometown.

The upcoming Free Health Check and Medication Program is not just a medical mission but a heartfelt gesture of service from a family that remains committed to giving back to the community that raised them. Through the vision of Prince Akintayo Olokunboro, the Foundation continues to bring hope, support, and positive change to the people of Akure.
