BTO Ambassadors inaugurates Women’s Wing in Ose local Govt

The Ose Local Government Chapter of the BTO Ambassadors has formally inaugurated its Women’s Wing in the Area.

This is in a bid to further strengthen it’s grassroots network and mobile women for greater political participation at the local area.

The event which took place at Ifon, headquarters of the Local Government, has in attendance political bigwigs, community leaders, traders, farmers and artisans.

In his welcome address, the leader of the group, Engr. Babatunde Gbalajobi stressed the need for the women to rally support and show commitment to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s quest to transform and develop Nigeria than he met it.

While commending the women for their steadfastness and dedication to the ideas of progressive politics, he committed them to leverage on their strength as the movers of their various homes in achieving the targeted goals.

According to him, “the strength and voices of the women at the grassroots and their roles are critical in sustaining the legacies of President Tinubu and his re-election bid in 2027, as envisaged by the convener of the group, Hon. (Dr) Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, the Minister of Interior.”

As he put it, “we believe women are not just supporters but strategic partners in governance and nation-building. What we are witnessing here today is the awakening of that collective energy toward promoting President Tinubu’s achievements in office and sustaining his mandate in the 2027 election.”

A leader of the All Progress Congress (APC) in Ose Local Government and a former House of Representatives member representing Owo/Ose federal constituency, Hon. Omosule Eniolorunda described the Ose Local Government women as dedicated and loyal women who are not inclined with the spirit of betrayal.

While assuring them of immense benefits and dividends of democracy at the end of the day, Hon. Omosule implored the women to intensify efforts on their house to house campaign, unit and ward meetings to promote the people’s oriented policies and programs of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Inaugurating the women’s structure, which cuts across all the 12 wards of Ose Local Government area, the coordinator, Mrs Labake Awodeyi, wife of prominent Ondo State community leader and astute Politician, Colonel S. B. Awodeyi (rtd.) pledged the support of women in Ose.

The BTO Ambassadors coordinator, Hon. Raheem Saliu, commissioned the women to carry out their new assignments with dedication and utmost modesty. Raheem lauded the enthusiasm of the women and reaffirmed the group’s resolve to create equal opportunities for women’s active participation in politics and leadership.

The newly inaugurated Local Government Coordinator, Mrs. Labake Awodeyi, expressed gratitude for the confidence reposed in her and pledged to work tirelessly with her team to promote the goals of the BTO Ambassadors across all wards of Ose Local Government.

The event also featured goodwill messages from notable political leaders including the Director General of the Asiwaju Mandate Group, Asiwaju Olimuyiwa Asagunla, The special Assistant to the Ondo State Governor on Women Engagements, Erelu Ajonibode, Hon Feyisetan Awodeyi, a former Special Assistant to the Governor of Ondo State on mobilization.

Also present are: Hon Bobade Omolade, Hon. Adelana Adesida Henry, Hon (Mrs) Ologokun Bosede and the Special Adviser to the Honourable Minister on Political Affairs, Hon. Kunle Omogunwa. Others are: Mrs. Joyce Olugbemisola, Hon. Friday Ebegbe and many others who commended the vision of the movement and the dedication of its leadership.
