Ondo Women Affairs Commissioner Appreciates Governor Aiyedatiwa for Sponsoring Delegation to the 25th National Council for Women Affairs Meeting in Benin
The Honourable Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development in Ondo State, Dr. Seun Osamaye, has expressed profound appreciation to the Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for approving and sponsoring the participation of the Ministry’s delegation at the 25th National Council for Women Affairs Meeting coming up in Benin City, Edo State.
Dr. Osamaye, who led a 10-member team from the Ondo State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development to the high-profile national event, described the Governor’s gesture as a demonstration of his unwavering commitment to women’s empowerment, family welfare, and inclusive governance.
In a statement in Akure, Dr Osamaye, noted that the National Council for Women Affairs serves as the highest policy-making body on matters affecting women, children, families, and other vulnerable groups in Nigeria, adding that Ondo State’s active participation at the Council underscores the government’s dedication to advancing the welfare of its citizens, particularly women and children.
The Commissioner reaffirmed the Ministry’s readiness to translate the resolutions and policy directions from the Benin meeting into actionable programmes that will further strengthen Governor Aiyedatiwa’s people-oriented agenda.u
The statement assures that the Ministry will continue to uphold the Governor’s vision for an inclusive and progressive Ondo State.
