AKOKO YOUTH FORUM ELECTS NEW LEADERS AS COMRADE PIUS KOLE EMERGES PRESIDENT
The Akoko Youth Forum has elected Comrade Pius Kole as its new President following a peaceful and transparent election held over the weekend. Kole emerged victorious after securing 54 votes, defeating his opponent Adurewa Vincent, who polled 22 votes.
Delegates drawn from the four local government areas of Akoko participated in the exercise, which stakeholders described as one of the most orderly elections in the Forum’s recent history.

The Electoral Chairman, Kazeem Mohammed, commended the delegates for their maturity and peaceful conduct throughout the process. He noted that their decorum demonstrated a renewed commitment to youth unity and democratic values across Akoko land.
In his farewell remarks, the outgoing President, Akeju Blessing, described the election as “peaceful, transparent, and a model for youth organisations across the state.” He congratulated the winner and urged the new leadership to build on the achievements of the past administration.

President-elect Comrade Pius Kole, in his acceptance speech, expressed gratitude to the delegates for the confidence reposed in him. He promised to fulfill his campaign promises, strengthen youth participation in community development, and reposition the Forum for greater impact.
Kole assured members that his administration would focus on unity, empowerment programs, and constructive engagement with stakeholders across Akoko.
